Club Pilates, part of the Viva Leisure family, is seeking a Lead Instructor for the Kedron studio in Brisbane. This senior role focuses on instructional excellence, mentoring peers, and elevating the teaching culture to deliver a world-class member experience.

You will report to the Studio Manager and Area Manager, shaping class quality, member interactions, and instructor growth, while working across flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Advanced Pilates teaching experience with a strong understanding of anatomy, safe movement principles, and class layering.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers through observation, structured feedback, and role modelling.
• Strong communication skills with a supportive, solutions-focused, and professional approach.
• Ability to work autonomously within defined responsibilities while adhering to established systems and standards.
• Organised, reliable, and deeply committed to maintaining and raising instructional quality.
• Flexible availability across a range of operating hours, including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, and evenings.

Responsabilités

• Class Instruction & Member Experience: Support teachers in delivering high-quality Club Pilates classes across all approved formats, modelling best-practice cueing, sequencing, and class flow.
• Class Instruction & Member Experience: Promote safe, inclusive, multi-level instruction aligned with Club Pilates methodology and safety standards.
• Class Instruction & Member Experience: Empower teachers to create a positive and motivating class environment that supports member confidence, satisfaction, and retention.
• Class Instruction & Member Experience: Ensure teachers are confident and equipped to guide members with technique and appropriate modifications within scope of practice.
• Class Instruction & Member Experience: Consistently represent Club Pilates brand values and instructional expectations during all classes taught.
• Instructor Support, Coaching & Mentorship: Act as a senior resource for teachers, offering peer coaching, guidance, and informal mentoring.
• Instructor Support, Coaching & Mentorship: Observe classes and provide constructive, developmental feedback to support teaching growth and consistency.
• Instructor Support, Coaching & Mentorship: Support teacher onboarding activities including auditions, practice teaching, and class shadowing.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Promote consistent delivery of all Club Pilates class formats — intensity, transitions, and safety standards.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Support quality assurance by identifying instructional trends or gaps and escalating appropriately.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Reinforce correct equipment usage, setup, and studio safety practices.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Participate in required Lead Instructor calls, training updates, and educational sessions, sharing learnings with the wider team.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Facilitate mini internal workshops for teachers as needed.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Work closely and collaboratively with Studio Manager(s) to support class and teacher quality outcomes.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Provide input on teacher availability and class coverage as needed.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and studio initiatives.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Support the studio during high-volume or peak periods through professional leadership and presence.
• Teaching Quality & Method Consistency: Relay timetable schedule gaps or opportunities to the Studio Manager when identified.
