Qualifications

• Certification: Mat and Apparatus Pilates from a recognized body like PMA or equivalent.
• Specialised training in Pilates for seniors, joint rehab, or bone health.
• First Aid and CPR/AED credentials.
• Soft skills: empathy, patience, observation and supportive communication.

Responsibilities

• Tailor classical Pilates movements using props to accommodate limited mobility or spinal conditions.
• Safely guide seniors using equipment like Reformer or Tower with light, stable spring tensions.
• Provide clear verbal cues and gentle visual direction for proper spinal alignment and breathing.
• Maintain a controlled class pace prioritising safety over speed or high repetitions.
