Job summary

North West Hospital and Health Service in Mount Isa seeks a Senior Physiotherapist to deliver expert generalist physiotherapy across inpatient and outpatient settings while leading service excellence within the Physiotherapy team.

You will mentor clinicians and Allied Health staff, expand outreach and participate in on-call and extended hours, with multidisciplinary collaboration to strengthen community healthcare across North West Queensland.

Qualifications

• Mandatory requirements include a relevant tertiary degree qualification and registration/licences.
• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
• Pre-employment screening including Criminal History checks.
• Vaccination or immunity evidence may be required for Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
• Probation may apply.

About The Role

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will provide expert generalist physiotherapy services across a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient settings while leading service excellence within the Physiotherapy team.

• Lead and deliver high-level Physiotherapy services across medical, surgical, orthopaedic, respiratory, neurological, paediatric, women's health and emergency care settings.
• Mentor, supervise and support clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants to build capability and strengthen service delivery.
• Enjoy a varied and rewarding role with opportunities for outreach, on-call participation, extended hours services and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Working with us

• Eligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.
• Eligible health practitioners working in designated remote areas will be entitled to a professional development allowance $3,512.00 per annum.
• Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance $431.22 p.f.
• Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

Requirements

• Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.

• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• A period of probation may apply.
