Queensland Health is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to deliver expert generalist physiotherapy across inpatients and outpatients, while leading service excellence within the Physiotherapy team. The role includes mentorship and opportunities for outreach and on-call participation in Mount Isa and surrounding North West Queensland communities.

You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, support outreach services and contribute to professional development through in-house programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant tertiary degree in Physiotherapy and be registered/licensed.
• Must have a valid C Class drivers licence.
• Pre-employment checks including criminal history and vaccination status may apply.

About the roleAs a Senior Physiotherapist, you will provide expert generalist physiotherapy services across a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient settings while leading service excellence within the Physiotherapy team.Lead and deliver high-level Physiotherapy services across medical, surgical, orthopaedic, respiratory, neurological, paediatric, women's health and emergency care settings.Mentor, supervise and support clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants to build capability and strengthen service delivery.Enjoy a varied and rewarding role with opportunities for outreach, on-call participation, extended hours services and multidisciplinary collaboration.Working with usEligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.Eligible health practitioners working in designated remote areas will be entitled to a professional development allowance of $3,512.00 per annum.Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.Professionally, our HHS values professionalism, leadership capability, excellence and resilience in our staff.
