Job summary

West Moreton Health is seeking a Pharmacist Senior - Drug Utilisation Evaluation to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services and support medicines governance across the organisation.

The role requires independent practice, data-informed analysis and collaboration with clinicians and committees to improve patient outcomes, with an emphasis on safety and expenditure management.

Qualifications

• Vaccination against vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
• Registration or membership with the appropriate Australian authority (AHPRA).
• Willingness to work extended hours as rostered.
• Willingness to work across West Moreton Hospital and Health Service facilities.

About the role

The Pharmacist Senior - Drug Utilisation Evaluation is responsible for delivering high quality clinical pharmacy services that support quality use of medicines, medication safety and service improvement across West Moreton Health. The role operates with a high degree of professional independence and provides expert advice, analysis and reporting relating to medicine utilisation, expenditure and medication management practices. Working collaboratively with clinicians, governance committees and operational teams, the position contributes to the delivery of data-informed improvements that enhance patient outcomes, support organisational priorities and promote evidence-based practice.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia - AHPRA.
• This position will be required to work extended hours as per Pharmacy roster arrangements.
• This position may be required to work across the various facilities throughout the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service.
