Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong seeks Senior Peer Workers across multiple teams. You will draw on your lived experience to support consumers in their mental health and recovery journeys, through individual peer support and group sessions.

You will promote recovery principles of hope, choice, self-determination and connectedness, working with a multidisciplinary team to shape services and programs. Part‑time appointments range from 56 to 64 hours per fortnight, offering collaborative, supportive work

Qualifications

• Experience using lived experience to support recovery.
• Ability to mentor and support Peer Workers.
• Strong interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group peer support promoting hope and recovery.
• Contribute to service development and policy models of care.
• Mentor Peer Workers and champion peer work across MHDAS.
