Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) Mental Health Service invites applications for a Senior Peer Learning Advisor in the Recovery and Wellbeing College. This temporary part-time role supports education and training for staff and people with lived experience, based at Kirk Place, Kogarah.

The position offers 32 hours per week (24 hours per week may be considered) with a pay rate of $51.15–$53.09 per hour plus superannuation, plus benefits such as salary packaging, days off, and

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or willingness to obtain with lived experience as a consumer.
• Understanding of Mental Health Recovery Framework and experience delivering education.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff including lived experience workers.
• Ability to lead participation of people with lived experience in trauma-informed, evidence-based services.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to lead quality improvement projects.
• Experience planning and coordinating health promotion events for mental health.
