Qualifications

• Payroll experience in an APS environment.
• Experience using an HRIS system.
• Knowledge of legislation including superannuation, workers compensation, long service leave and maternity leave.

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly payroll with external provider.
• Handle payroll lifecycle events: commencements, terminations, leave, superannuation, allowances, overtime.
• Manage leave liabilities for APS transfers.
• Ensure data accuracy in payroll system (SAP) and records.
• Provide support to staff and managers via external Employee Self Service portal (HUB).
• Manage AIATSIS HR ticketing system (JIRA).
• Advise staff and managers on conditions of service and policies.
• Research and advise on legislative and policy areas including Enterprise Agreement, Maternity Leave Act, Long Service Leave Act.
