Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Payroll Services Lead to oversee payroll delivery across the organisation on a full-time basis. The role provides senior payroll leadership, supports EBAs and legislation, and drives system enhancements across Kronos, SAP and SuccessFactors.

You will coach payroll staff, manage governance and collaborate with managers, People & Culture and Finance to ensure accurate, timely payroll and high service standards in a dynamic health environment.

Qualifications

• Significant payroll experience, ideally within a large and complex multi-EBA environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements, payroll controls and governance principles.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, awards, policies and procedures.
• Experience using payroll, HR and workforce management systems, including troubleshooting issues and working with system vendors.
• Proven capability in payroll reconciliation, auditing, reporting and compliance activities.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and support teams in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior payroll expertise and operational leadership to deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll service delivery.
• Interpret EBAs, legislation, policies and payroll procedures; advise on complex payroll matters.
• Lead payroll compliance, reconciliation, audit and governance activities to maintain high standards of accuracy and control.
• Drive payroll system enhancements and continuous improvement across Kronos, SAP and SuccessFactors.
• Coach, mentor and support payroll staff; contribute to workforce capability, training and knowledge sharing.
• Build strong relationships with managers, People & Culture, Finance, regional partners and external vendors.
