Job summary

Assembly Label is seeking a Payroll & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Sydney-based Finance team. You will own end-to-end payroll and accounts receivable across AU/NZ entities, ensuring compliance with payroll rules and reporting to leadership.

The role requires experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, with Employment Hero familiarity preferred. You will partner with FP&A and the Financial Controller to manage cash flow, reporting, and continuous improvement, driving accuracy under

Qualifications

• Senior payroll experience across multiple entities.
• Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards (NZ payroll experience preferred).
• Proven AR ownership, including collections and dispute resolution.
• Led payroll system or process changes from start to finish.
• Experience with payroll and accounting systems, with strong Excel skills.
• Finance or payroll qualification, or equivalent.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Sound judgement under deadline pressure.
• Discretion and integrity with confidential information.
• Confident communicating with leaders and customers.
• Takes ownership and drives improvement.
• Humble, Hungry and Smart.

Responsibilities

• Payroll: own end-to-end payroll delivery and compliance across AU/NZ entities.
• AR: own accounts receivable function across wholesale partners and manage collections.
• Reporting: provide AR and payroll reporting to leadership and FP&A.
• Lodge obligations and respond to payroll audits and statutory lodgements on time.
• Lead system/process improvements and roll out changes.
