Job summary

Logan City Council is seeking two Senior Parks Infrastructure Planners to lead the planning and optimisation of parks and open space infrastructure. The roles focus on aligning with LGIP, planning schemes and growth management, while mentoring team members and engaging with stakeholders.

These full-time positions bring strategic advisory responsibilities, data-driven decision making, and collaboration across departments to deliver sustainable park networks that support our growing community.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic infrastructure planning and open space planning.
  • Knowledge of planning legislation and regulatory requirements, preferably within Queensland.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and infrastructure documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills with data interpretation for evidence-based decisions.
  • Experience using GIS and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and review of parks and open space strategies and policies.
  • Provide specialist advice on long-term infrastructure planning and growth management.
  • Coordinate LGIP inputs into LGIP and Planning Scheme.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for parks infrastructure planning.
