Job summary

Inner West Council invites applications for a Parks Project Manager to lead the delivery of parks, recreation and landscape capital works from concept through to completion. This hands-on role balances technical rigour with community outcomes, coordinating investigations, design, approvals, procurement, and on-site delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering OR equivalent industry experience in capital works delivery.
• Experience in investigation, evaluation, design and specification of capital works infrastructure to standards, codes and legislation.
• Well developed procurement and project management skills.
• Computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, project management software and CAD.
• Valid Class C Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of parks, recreation and landscape capital works projects from concept to completion.
• Balance technical rigour with strong community outcomes and oversee investigations, scoping, design and approvals.
• Manage procurement, contract administration and on-site delivery to time and budget.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to deliver inclusive, climate-responsive upgrades.
