Telstra Corporation in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead Privileged Access Management across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will shape PAM strategy, set direction, and drive secure-by-design patterns through automation and strong technical leadership.

Qualifications

Deep experience in Privileged Access Management, secrets management or adjacent security engineering domains.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust, least privilege and modern cloud security patterns.
Hands-on familiarity with PAM platforms such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust.

Responsibilities

Lead the PAM domain strategy, target-state architecture and control roadmap across on-prem, cloud, SaaS and hybrid environments.
Design secure, scalable privileged access and secrets management patterns to support DevSecOps and automation.
Drive a high-automation PAM operating model for onboarding, access requests/approvals, vaulting, rotation, session recording, and offboarding via APIs and IaC.
Influence engineering, architecture, operations, risk and vendor teams to embed PAM controls early.
Improve detection, auditability and assurance through logging, evidence, access reviews and automated reporting.
Mentor others and uplift technical capability to foster a culture of shared security ownership.
