Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a Clinical and/or Health Psychologist to join our Pain Management Unit. The role offers autonomy within a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to outpatients, including psychological assessments and treatments such as Pain Education and CBT-Insomnia programs.

Qualifications

• Master of Clinical and/or Health Psychology (or equivalent) with endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Full registration as a Psychologist with demonstrated competence in psychological assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, PTSD, and personality disorders.
• Experience in hospital or outpatient settings, including group and individual therapy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute positively to service development.
• Strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and commitment to Barwon Health values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and provide evidence-based treatments for patients with chronic pain and associated conditions.
• Deliver individual and group programs, including pain management, education, and CBT-Insomnia.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, liaise with team members, and contribute to coordinated patient care.
• Contribute to service planning, quality assurance activities, and ongoing professional development within the Pain Management Unit.
• Provide supervision and support to student/provisional psychologists where appropriate.
