Job summary

Sydney Local Health District’s Concord Centre for Mental Health seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist at Level 3 to lead hyperacute OT services. The role focuses on sensory interventions and de-escalation, with senior clinical leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
• Advanced clinical knowledge and significant clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including stakeholder consultation and NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership within Occupational Therapy service provision and optimize patient care delivery.
• Support mentoring and development of staff within the OT team.
• Engage in proactive de-escalation and sensory-based interventions for hyperacute clients.
