Job summary

NSW Health's Concord Centre for Mental Health in Sydney seeks a Senior Occupational Therapist (Level 3) to lead OT services in the hyperacute ward. The role focuses on sensory interventions, occupation-based therapy, and de-escalation, with a rotating roster including day/evening shifts and some weekend days.

The successful candidate will provide senior clinical leadership, optimise patient care delivery and mentor junior staff, while maintaining AHPRA registration and NSW driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor or post graduate degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy.
• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation and current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership within Occupational Therapy service provision including optimisation of patient/client care delivery.
• Support mentoring and development of staff.
