Job summary

Metro North Mental Health in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to deliver advanced assessments and recovery-focused interventions for adolescents with complex mental health needs. You will provide clinical leadership, supervise staff and contribute to service development within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work with families and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, person-centred care while advancing evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced occupational therapy assessments for adolescents with complex mental health needs.
• Development of recovery-focused treatment plans to improve functioning.
• Experience leading and mentoring occupational therapists and students.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, person-centred care setting.
• Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adolescents with complex mental health needs in a specialist inpatient setting.
• Develop and implement recovery-focused treatment plans that enhance functional outcomes, participation and independence.
• Provide professional leadership, clinical supervision and mentoring to occupational therapists, students and multidisciplinary team members.
• Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and healthcare professionals to coordinate safe, person-centred care.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service development, research and evidence-based practice activities that enhance consumer outcomes.
