Job summary

Metro North Health seeks a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead and deliver advanced assessments and recovery-focused interventions for adolescents with complex mental health needs in an inpatient setting. You will supervise staff, mentor students, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive person-centred care and safety.

You will contribute to service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice while supporting families and young people on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Deliver advanced occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adolescents with complex mental health needs in a specialist inpatient setting.
• Develop and implement recovery-focused treatment plans to improve functional outcomes, participation and independence.
• Provide professional leadership, supervision and mentoring to OT, students and multidisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with consumers, families and healthcare professionals for safe, person-centred care.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service development, research and evidence-based practice.
