Job summary

Helping Hand is seeking a Senior Organisational Development Consultant to partner with leaders across Hindmarsh and beyond. You will drive culture, DEI, change, and organisation design by turning insights into practical action that improves the employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

Based at Hindmarsh, you’ll oversee OD initiatives from concept to implementation and evaluation, leveraging strong stakeholder relationships and analytical insight to shape sustainable improvements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in HR/OD or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience leading organisational development, effectiveness, or workforce change in a large, complex environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills with the ability to gain buy‑in across levels.
• Evidence-based and analytical capability using workforce insights to diagnose issues and measure impact.
• Current SA driver’s licence and willingness to obtain/maintain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Based at our Hindmarsh office, you'll work across Helping Hand as a trusted Organisation Development partner, bringing people, insight and expertise together to identify opportunities, shape solutions and turn ideas into action.

You’ll help shape contemporary approaches to culture, capability, employee experience and organisational effectiveness, bringing curiosity, innovation and momentum to create practical, meaningful and enduring change.

You’ll also make an impact by:

• Shaping our employee experience, turning feedback, engagement data and workforce insights into meaningful improvements in how our people experience work
• Bringing our diversity, equity and inclusion commitments to life, driving action plans, governance and reporting, including the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) cycle
• Leading organisational development, organisation design and workforce change initiatives from concept through to implementation and evaluation
• Bringing our people together to explore challenges, co-design solutions and create the engagement needed to turn good ideas into action that makes a lasting difference
• Developing practical frameworks, policies and executive recommendations that strengthen culture, capability and organisational effectiveness
• Using facilitation, influence and strong relationships to help people navigate and build sustainable ways of working
• Shaping strategic engagement initiatives and events through thoughtful design, strong governance and effective delivery

What you’ll bring

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, Business, Organisational Behaviour, Change or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience leading organisational development, effectiveness, workforce transformation or change initiatives in a large, complex environment
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all organisational levels and bring people along the change journey
• Evidence-based and analytical capability, including using workforce and organisational insights to diagnose issues and measure impact
• A current South Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to obtain and maintain an NDIS Worker Screening Check

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

• Professional certification in profiling tools such as DISC, organisational design, change management, systems thinking, facilitation or human-centred design
• Experience in organisation, workforce, work or job design, including translating strategy into practical structures and ways of working
• Experience harnessing point-in-time engagement surveys to turn employee insights into meaningful improvements in culture and engagement
• Digitally savvy and confident using technology, systems and data to streamline work, uncover insights and enhance the employee experience
• Strong project management, policy writing and executive reporting capability
• Curiosity, optimism and adaptability, with the courage to challenge thinking and forge new pathways
