Job summary

Worley, a global professional services company in energy, chemicals and resources, is seeking a Senior or Principal Mining Engineer to join its APAC mining team in Melbourne. You will lead mining studies, provide technical consulting, and work across EPCM and project delivery scopes.

The role involves design, planning, and cost estimation, plus site travels, business development, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Extensive operational hard rock experience in underground and/or surface mine design.
• Experience in Block Caving and/or Sub-Level Caving highly regarded.
• Strong proficiency with Deswik or other industry-standard mining software.
• Experience with NI 43-101 and/or JORC studies; Competent/Qualified Person is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Degree in Mining Engineering.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical and consulting services to mining clients
• Act as Mining Lead, Project Manager or Project Engineer across EPCM and project delivery scopes
• Lead and/or deliver technical work across Concept, PEA, PFS and FS studies
• Support technical execution of mining projects
• Contribute to business development strategies and maintain professional networks

What You'll Have

• Experience in Block Caving and/or Sub-Level Caving highly regarded
• Strong proficiency using the Deswik suite of software, or other industry-standard mining software
• Experience with NI 43-101 and/or JORC compliant studies highly regarded, including sign-off as Competent/Qualified Person
• Willingness to travel as required
• Degree in Mining Engineering
