Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Eligibility for CPEng or equivalent registration.
• 12+ years in mechanical engineering/product development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong DFM/DFX and lifecycle governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority for mechanical design and engineering activities.
• Lead development of opto-mechanical and electro-optical systems from concept to production.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and technical reviews.
• Lead design reviews, analyses, and documentation oversight.
• Drive risk assessments, trade studies, and innovation.

Extensive mechanical design experience

3D CAD leadership (SolidWorks/Creo/CAT

Education

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

CPEng eligibility or equivalent

Postgraduate qualification in related discipline

Tools
