Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a Senior Operations and PnL Associate to support a trading team focused on Equity Derivatives and ETFs. The role suits an experienced operations, trade support, or middle office professional with prior exposure to a global investment bank, fund manager, or trading firm.

You will manage daily P&L, reconciliations, and lifecycle controls, liaising with brokers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in financial services, with a middle office focus.
• Strong knowledge of equities and equity derivatives, including options.
• Experience with daily P&L and trade flow reconciliation.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of position, cash, and trade activity prior to Market open.
• Reconcile front office estimates to prime broker reporting.
• Analyze accruals including capital and interest charges, expenses, and commissions.
• Price validation of end-of-day trader prices.
• Liaise with external parties to resolve position/cash discrepancies.
• Contribute to system improvements to streamline daily processes.
• Support business growth into new products and markets.
• Work with legal and compliance for onboarding new relationships.
• Support desk to effectively manage margin obligations.
• Maintain and manage operational processes per regulatory framework.

Senior Operations and PnL Associate - Equity Derivatives

An exceptional, senior trading operations position has become available working in direct support of a Trading team focussed on Equity Derivatives and ETF’s.

This position would suit an experienced operations, trade support or middle office professional who has previous experience with a global investment bank, fund manager or trading firm and seeking to support a high-performing team of traders.

The ideal applicant would have at least 4 + years experience within a middle office style role covering equity derivatives and daily Profit and Loss knowledge and expertise.

As a Senior Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for helping the day to day running of the back office. This will entail position reconciliations, ensuring trades are captured in an efficient and timely manner and positions are accurate and reconciled to external brokers, produce accurate daily Profit and Loss, and ensure a strong control framework throughout the complete trade life cycle

Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of position, cash, and trade activity prior to Market open.
• Ability to reconcile front office estimates to prime broker reporting.

We are looking for high calibre people who possess the following competencies:

• Around 4+ years previous experience in financial services
• Strong knowledge of equities / equity derivatives, especially Options and corporate actions
• A person who excels in a fast-moving environment, self-starter, and resourceful in solving problems
• Have an in-depth knowledge of handling trade flow through to settlement
• Knowledge/Experience of Asian Markets a preference
• Ability to build strong and positive relationships both internally and with Broker contacts.
• Strive for efficiencies and to challenge the status quo to drive changes.
• Ability to prioritise based on materiality and risk considerations.
• Analytical mindset when tackling issues.
• Knowledge of SQL, VBA and Python would be highly regarded
