Job summary

Osborne Richardson is seeking a Principal Workplace Health and Safety Advisor on a contract basis for the QBuild RAAC site in Portsmith, Cairns. You will act as the dedicated WHS authority on site, partnering with forepersons and management to maintain a safe, high-performing production culture.

The role requires a Certificate IV in WHS, White Card, current driver’s licence, and proven WHS experience in similar environments.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in WHS mandatory.
• General Construction Induction (White Card) mandatory.
• A current driver's licence mandatory.
• Competence in Excel, Word and PowerPoint (mandatory).
• Proven experience in WHS roles in construction or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Act as the dedicated WHS authority on site with autonomy.
• Lead prestart meetings with site forepersons and review high-risk activities.
• Chair monthly Talksafe meetings and drive site engagement.
• Conduct comprehensive safety audits across delivery lines.
• Lead incident and hazard investigations under regulations and SOPs.
• Collaborate with the wider WHS team.
