Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to provide senior clinical leadership within the Hyperacute Occupational Therapy Team at Concord Centre for Mental Health. You will lead care delivery, optimise patient outcomes and mentor junior staff.

The role focuses on sensory interventions, therapeutic engagement in occupation, and de‑escalation, with a rotating roster including day/evening shifts and some weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and significant clinical experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaboration with stakeholders and NSW Driver’s Licence (P1/P2 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership within Occupational Therapy service delivery and optimise patient care.
• Mentor and develop staff within the Occupational Therapy team.
• Participate in rotating roster including day/evening shifts, with possible weekend day shifts.
