Job summary

SAL Consulting is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our senior practitioner team based in Darwin, Northern Territory. This role blends clinical work with mentorship, helping strengthen our national practice across diverse settings.

You’ll work on capacity assessments, home modifications and complex disability support, with opportunities to develop your own areas of interest while supporting colleagues and teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Current Working with Children Check/NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting developing practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth.
• Provide assessment, intervention and consultation to people with diverse and often complex needs.
• Mentor and coach developing practitioners.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic and person-centred outcomes.

SAL Consulting is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our senior practitioner team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.

This is more than a clinical role. Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload, you'll contribute to the growth of our Occupational Therapy discipline, mentor emerging clinicians, and help strengthen our national practice.

You’ll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation, multidisciplinary collaboration, mentoring and discipline development activities.

Desired Skills and Experience

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent

• Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
• Experience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modifications
• Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
