SAL Consulting is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Darwin team, blending clinical work with mentoring and discipline development. Based in Darwin, you’ll work across diverse practice areas and contribute to national practice growth.
You’ll engage in leadership, supervision and professional development while supporting complex cases and collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve meaningful client outcomes.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Unconditional General Registration with AHPRA.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings.
- Provide assessment, intervention and consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needs.
- Mentor and coach developing practitioners and contribute to discipline growth.

SAL Consulting is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our senior practitioner team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.
This is more than a clinical role. Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload, you'll contribute to the growth of our Occupational Therapy discipline, mentor emerging clinicians, and help strengthen our national practice.
From functional capacity assessments and home modifications to sensory profiling, complex disability, mental health, early intervention and forensic practice, Occupational Therapists at SAL have opportunities to work across an unusually broad range of practice areas while being supported to develop their own areas of interest.

You’ll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation, multidisciplinary collaboration, mentoring and discipline development activities.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)‚ÄØ
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting developing practitioners
- Formal supervision experience
- Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
- Experience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modifications
- Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
- Experience in practice development activities
