Description du poste

Pop-Up Therapy is a mobile occupational therapy service supporting children and young people through in-home, school-based, clinic, and telehealth sessions. We take a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to help young clients build everyday skills, confidence, and participation in daily life.

We are a close-knit and supportive team that values connection, flexibility, professional growth and a sustainable approach to work. We understand that our team members have lives and families outside of work, and we genuinely value work-life balance. We aim to create a workplace where clinicians feel trusted, supported and connected, while having the autonomy to work in a way that suits both them and their clients.

About the role

The Senior Occupational Therapist is a clinical leadership role within Pop-Up Therapy. In addition to carrying a client caseload, the role includes dedicated time for professional supervision of Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants, supporting the clinical development of the team, mentoring university students on placement, and contributing to service development and organisational leadership.

This is an opportunity for an experienced paediatric OT to have a meaningful role in shaping the clinical direction of a growing service, while remaining connected to the clinical work they enjoy.

The role can be structured on a full-time or part-time basis, and we are happy to discuss working arrangements that suit the right person.

Why join Pop-Up Therapy?
  • Full-time or part-time options, with flexibility around working days and hours
  • Flexible work-from-home options for suitable non-client-facing tasks, including report writing and administration
  • A genuinely family-friendly workplace that recognises the importance of life outside of work
  • A balance of clinical work and leadership responsibilities, rather than expecting leadership duties to simply sit on top of a full clinical caseload
  • Autonomy and trust in how you structure and manage your work
  • The opportunity to help shape clinical services, programs and team development as Pop-Up Therapy continues to grow
  • A close-knit, approachable team where collaboration and connection are actively valued
  • Regular opportunities for peer support, supervision and professional development
  • Variety across home, school, clinic and telehealth settings
  • Travel reimbursement of $1.01/km for work-related travel
Key responsibilities
  • Carry a complex caseload of children and young people with disability, developmental delay, and/or complex needs across in-home, school-based, and telehealth settings.
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and deliver evidence-based, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming therapy.
  • Develop, implement, and review high-quality individualised therapy plans in collaboration with clients, families/carers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Prepare clinical reports, functional capacity assessments, NDIS-related documentation, and Medicare billing to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
  • Deliver services under NDIS funding, Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans, and private payment arrangements in accordance with relevant billing and scheme requirements.
  • Provide regular, structured clinical supervision to Occupational Therapists within the Pop-Up Therapy team, in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia's supervision guidelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision and delegation to Allied Health Assistants, monitoring program implementation and providing timely feedback.
  • Supervise occupational therapy students on clinical placement in accordance with the requirements of the relevant university and the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Pop-Up Therapy's clinical services, including the design of new programs, therapy resources, and service delivery models.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in accordance with organisational, NDIS, and Medicare requirements.

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 4 years of post-graduate clinical experience, with demonstrated experience in paediatric occupational therapy

  • Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to occupational therapists and/or allied health assistants
