Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with deep observability experience to support payments, treasury and digital banking platforms. You will embed observability into architecture and production operations, covering logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and end-to-end visibility of customer journeys.

The role involves participation in a 24x7 on‑call roster for critical payment systems and aims to minimize MTTR while maximizing reliability and performance across core

Qualifications

Experience applying SRE practices to production critical systems.
Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on‑call roster for critical services.
Strong background in logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and dashboards.
Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain observability tooling across Payments, Treasury and Digital Banking platforms.
Lead incident response, post‑incident reviews and continuous improvements.
Collaborate with cloud, platform and development teams to improve MTTD/MTTR and reliability.
