Job summary
NRI Australia & New Zealand is seeking a skilled Monitoring/Observability Engineer to support clients across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will deploy and tune monitoring, instrumentation and alerting to ensure service health and performance, collaborating with customer teams to implement effective observability.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a related role, hands-on platform experience (Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic), and strong scripting skills to automate and improve monitoring
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a monitoring, observability, SRE, DevOps or infrastructure/operations role.
- Hands-on experience with at least one monitoring or observability platform (Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, etc).
- Understanding of metrics, logs, traces, alerting and reducing alert noise.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure and monitor customer environments: agents, integrations, dashboards, monitors and alerts across cloud and on-prem
- Instrument applications for APM and tracing with customer dev teams
- Build dashboards, SLOs and alerts for actionable insights
- Connect alerting to ServiceNow and collaboration/on-call tools
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders to design monitoring solutions
- Help onboarding and ongoing value realization of the platform
