Job summary
NBMLHD is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Transitional Nurse Practitioner for the Supportive and Palliative Care service at Nepean Hospital. You will work across inpatient, outpatient and community settings within Penrith and Hawkesbury LGAs, providing advanced clinical assessment, care planning and symptom management as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will contribute to service development, education and quality improvement initiatives in a dynamic, patient-centred environment,
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, eligible to attain authorisation within 3 years.
- Postgraduate qualifications in palliative care or relevant clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and advanced clinical nursing skills including comprehensive assessment and diagnostics.
- Understanding of supportive and palliative care and ability to lead changes in clinical practice.
- Proven expertise in complex patient-centred consultancy, mentoring, education and quality improvement.
- Advanced clinical leadership, negotiation and problem-solving across a multidisciplinary service.
- Ability to work autonomously with accountability while collaborating with others.
- Current NSW Driver Licence for work-related travel.
