Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager, Infection Prevention Service, to provide organisation-wide leadership for infection prevention and control. Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience in infection prevention and control.
• Senior clinical experience in infection prevention and control within a complex health service with knowledge of legislation, NSQHS Standard 3.

Responsibilities

• Provide organisation-wide leadership and expert advice on infection prevention and control, ensuring compliance with legislation and accreditation.
• Lead governance, risk management, audits and quality improvement to strengthen patient safety and infection prevention.
• Manage daily operations, workforce planning, staff performance, development and resource allocation.
• Build stakeholder partnerships and coordinate responses to infection prevention incidents and risks.
