Forensicare, Victoria's specialist forensic mental health provider, seeks a Clinical Nurse Consultant for the Early Intervention Support Team (EIST) / Safely Reducing Restrictive Practices (SRRP). The role delivers senior clinical leadership, education and mentoring to reduce restrictive practices and enhance safety, quality and engagement across acute, rehabilitation and community settings.

The CNC–EIST/SRRP works with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to drive workforce

Competenze

Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health, Psychiatric or Forensic Nursing, with substantial post-registration experience in mental health/forensic services.
Advanced clinical expertise applying evidence-based practice in mental health, psychiatric or forensic settings.
Experience leading initiatives to safely reduce restrictive practices and improve consumer outcomes.

Mansioni

Lead the operational delivery and professional development of the Early Intervention Support Team (EIST).
Coordinate regular EIST meetings with line and clinical security managers.
Oversee EIST nurses' involvement in seclusion review and delivery of programs.
Support EIST nurses to develop de-escalation, sensory modulation and distraction techniques.
Ensure EIST nurses apply escorting procedures on campus.
Provide timely support to unit staff and respond to incidents as needed.
