Job summary

CyberCX is seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Network Security to join its Managed Security Engineering team in Australia. The role is senior and hands-on, focusing on solving complex problems, steering technical outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to customers.

Responsibilities include leading incident resolution, designing secure network architectures, and mentoring engineers while aligning with ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security engineering or operations
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer and/or Technical Lead
• Strong client-facing and consulting experience

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level (Level 4) support across network security platforms including Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Netskope
• Lead complex incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Design and implement secure network architectures aligned to industry best practices
• Deliver advanced configuration, optimisation, and performance tuning
• Conduct security assessments and provide risk mitigation recommendations
• Automate and improve operational workflows using DevOps-aligned practices
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers in consulting-style engagements
• Mentor and coach engineers, lifting capability across the team
• Ensure adherence to ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes
