Job summary

CyberCX is seeking an experienced Technical Lead - Network Security to join our Managed Security Engineering team in Australia. This senior, hands-on role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade network security solutions while mentoring engineers and guiding technical outcomes for customers.

You’ll lead complex incident resolution, build secure architectures around Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Netskope, and drive improvements in ITIL-aligned incident and change

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering or operations, preferably in MSP or complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead.
• Strong client-facing and consulting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate/FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer (and related components).
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks and Netskope is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support across network security platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Netskope).
• Lead complex incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Design and implement secure network architectures aligned to best practices.
• Deliver advanced configuration, optimisation, and performance tuning.
• Conduct security assessments and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Automate and improve operational workflows with DevOps practices.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to customers in consulting engagements.
• Mentor and coach engineers to raise team capability.
• Ensure ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes.
