Job summary

Centorrino Technologies in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement and support secure enterprise networks. The role is a 6-month contract with hybrid working and opportunities to shape security architecture across SASE, SD-WAN, NAC and SIEM/SOAR.

You will lead network security initiatives, mentor teams, develop automation, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure connectivity.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior network engineering or similar role.
• Hands-on design and support of SASE and SD-WAN solutions.
• Experience with firewall, IPS/IDS, CASB, Zero Trust and network segmentation.
• Experience with SIEM and SOAR monitoring.
• Experience with NAC solutions, FortiNAC preferred.
• Strong TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching and VPN knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise SASE and SD-WAN for secure connectivity.
• Develop and maintain secure network architectures aligned with security standards.
• Provide technical leadership across network transformation and security initiatives.
• Support and optimise SIEM/SOAR platforms, monitoring and automated responses.
• Develop use cases, playbooks and automation for threat detection and incident response.
• Maintain and manage NAC solutions, including FortiNAC.
• Maintain network segmentation and Zero Trust access controls.
• Oversee lifecycle, upgrades, patching and monitoring of platforms.
• Document operations with runbooks, dashboards and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure network solutions.
• Mentor teams and contribute to architecture reviews and security audits.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
