Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructure supporting critical air traffic and corporate environments.

You will lead across NGFW, VPN, BGP, WAF, IPS/IDS and related security technologies, driving continuous improvement while collaborating with project delivery teams, vendors and stakeholders. This role includes on-call duties in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in complex enterprise network security environments.
• Expertise across NGFW, BGP, WAF, IPS/IDS, VPN.
• Knowledge of Australian Government ISM/PSPF frameworks.
• Experience in 24/7 highly available operational environments.
• Ability to apply governance and change management principles.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and continually improve secure enterprise network infrastructure.
• Provide specialist expertise across network security technologies and lead investigations.
• Partner with engineering, delivery, vendors and stakeholders to ensure security, reliability and compliance.
• Contribute to major transformation initiatives and network modernisation programs.
• Participate in on-call roster to support critical network faults and incidents.
