Syndeticom Pty is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Sydney to design, configure, deploy, and manage wired and wireless networks across multiple government and enterprise projects. The role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and delivering secure network solutions.

You will work on LAN/WAN security, SDN domains, and customer engagements, requiring proactive problem-solving, strong communication, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, deploying, and managing wired and wireless networks from multiple vendors.
• Experience with Aruba and Extreme networking solutions is required.
• Proficiency with switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, QoS).
• Advanced documentation and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop contemporary network solutions, including security for LAN, WAN, and SDN domains.
• Provide network engineering expertise from estimation to post-implementation support.
• Create and improve network design, implementation, and support documentation.
• Implement and support networking infrastructure at client sites.
• Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Ensure network activities align with Syndeticom’s standards.

As a Network Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, support, and management of wired and wireless network solutions across various projects.

• Develop contemporary network solutions, including security for LAN, WAN, and software-defined domains.
• Offer network engineering expertise from estimation to post-implementation support.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Aruba and Extreme networking solutions is required, with Juniper and FortiGate experience being highly desirable.

• Desirable: Experience with VoIP/PABX solutions, network design/implementation in enterprise or construction environments.
