Job summary

Talenza in Sydney is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a leading Australian bank on a permanent basis. This hands-on role focuses on operation, support and improvement of a large-scale Cisco network environment, covering internet connectivity, routing, switching and critical services.

You will work across enterprise-grade networks and contribute to major incident and problem management while supporting on-call duties in a hybrid Sydney setting.

Qualifications

• Strong WAN and internet routing skills - ISP experience preferred.
• Strong experience supporting large-scale Cisco network environments.
• Advanced routing and switching knowledge, including BGP and OSPF.
• Experience working with Cisco Nexus platforms, ideally Nexus 9000.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Previous experience supporting enterprise firewall technologies.
• CCNP or CCIE certification highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and support activities across critical network infrastructure.
