Job summary

Ethan Global in Australia seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design and maintain WAN/LAN, internet connectivity, routers, firewalls and security, working with cloud and networking specialists to push careers forward.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco, Microsoft and VMware technologies, plus Fortinet FortiGate and HP switches; AWS experience is a plus. You will deliver BAU and project work with strong troubleshooting and customer-focused IT support.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco, Microsoft and VMware technologies.
• Experience with Fortinet FortiGate and Cisco IPTEL products.
• Network design and troubleshooting across WAN/LAN and data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Technical design for WAN, LAN, Internet connectivity, routers, firewalls and security.
• Support for hardware and software issues on network and firewalls.
• Create system documentation and reviews with recommendations.
• Coordinate with vendors on internet/WAN links and contractors as needed.
• Provide IT support for Microsoft core business apps and virtual environments (Microsoft, VMware).
• Deliver customer service excellence and reliability of core services.

Key responsibilites:

• Technical design services and support at the network level: WAN, LAN, Internet connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
• Support for hardware and software issues on our network and firewalls
• System documentation to include system reviews and recommendations
• Coordinate with vendors regarding Internet and WAN links, and coordinate contactors when relevant.
• IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Microsoft, and VMware.
• Understand key business challenges and drivers and how these relate to the technology function
• Deliver Customer service excellence & robustness and reliability of core services as reflected in IT survey results, customer satisfaction surveys and other feedback
• Provide excellent analytical capability. Ability to analyse and creatively resolve complex technical and business issues.

Systems Experience

• Relevant work experience with Cisco, Microsoft, and VMWare required
• Experience with Amazon AWS optional but well received.
