Job summary

HireAlice is seeking a Senior Network Engineer / Network Designer to design and support high-availability networks in Melbourne. The contract runs until June 30th with potential to extend into other exciting projects.

Responsibilities include designing resilient networks, maintaining data centre reliability, leading incident response, implementing firewall and security controls, and executing migrations in complex environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in network design or senior network engineering.
• Hands-on data centre networking experience.
• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, VXLAN, IGPs and Layer 2.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls in complex environments.
• Data centre and backbone technologies (MPLS, internet routing).
• Strong focus on reliability, resilience and uptime.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver resilient, high-availability network solutions.
• Support and improve reliability across data centre environments.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network issues.
• Design, implement and troubleshoot firewall and security controls.
• Deliver changes and migrations in complex, brownfield environments.
