Job summary

PRA is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to design and ship real-time, event-driven .NET Core microservices. You will build services on AWS, manage CI/CD, and collaborate with product, data, cloud, and architecture teams to drive business impact.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, scalable architectures, and contributing to a high-performing engineering culture within a hybrid Melbourne CBD office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial C# / .NET Core development.
• Hands-on Kafka (or similar streaming tech).
• Solid event-driven design and microservices architecture experience.
• AWS know-how across VPC, EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudFormation and CloudWatch.
• Bonus: RabbitMQ, NUnit and test automation, Docker/Jenkins/Ansible, AI tools in development, or AWS certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and build C# / .NET Core microservices in an event-driven architecture.
• Build services on AWS that stay up and scale with traffic spikes.
• Own what you ship: testing, CI/CD and monitoring in production.
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead to shape and document solutions.
• Share knowledge and raise engineering quality across the team.
