Job summary

Bluefin Resources is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Sydney to own meaningful parts of a large-scale tech environment. You will shape architectural direction, build scalable systems, and influence the team’s technical decisions.

You’ll work on enterprise-scale, real-time systems with a focus on ownership, curiosity, and ambition to grow toward Tech Lead or Staff Engineer within 1–2 years.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals

• Experience with Agile software delivery
• Enterprise-scale application development experience
• Strong coding, cloud and database fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable applications using C#/.NET and Azure
• Develop APIs and services with a focus on quality, reliability and maintainability
• Work with SQL databases, including data modelling and performance
• Build and support cloud-native, event-driven systems
• Work with technologies such as Azure Service Bus and Event Hub
• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions
• Work within Agile delivery practices, including planning, code reviews and continuous delivery
• Take increasing ownership of technical problems and their solutions
• Help uplift engineering practices and capability across the team
