Job summary

Exclaim IT is seeking four Senior .NET Developers to join a Canberra-based ICT team supporting enterprise applications. You will work across sustainment, enhancement, and delivery, contributing to existing and new development in a fast-paced Agile environment, with on-premises and cloud workloads.

Ideal candidates have five+ years in .NET full stack, strong Vue.js experience, and the ability to lead or contribute to solution design while collaborating with stakeholders.

About the role

We are looking for four experienced Senior .NET Developers to join a Canberra-based ICT team supporting critical enterprise applications and ongoing technology initiatives. You will work across the sustainment, enhancement and delivery of business-critical systems, contributing to both existing applications and new development work. The role suits a strong full stack developer with solid Microsoft .NET and Vue.js experience who is comfortable working across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work within an Agile delivery team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading technical teams or contributing to solution design will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain full stack applications using .NET, Vue.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Develop solutions across on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• Contribute to system and software design across complex enterprise applications.
• Build secure applications aligned with least privilege principles, the Australian Government Information Security Manual and OWASP practices.
• Establish and maintain source code repositories.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for software deployment.
• Work with Azure DevOps for development processes, work management and task governance.
• Support application sustainment, enhancements and priority project delivery.
• Work closely with developers, technical specialists and business stakeholders within an Agile multidisciplinary team.
• Manage multiple high-priority work items while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Participate in an agreed after-hours on-call roster, including some weekends and public holidays.

Desirable criteria

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading solution design activities.
• Previous experience leading or supporting ICT technical teams.
• Experience working within an Australian Government or APS environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver agreed business outcomes.
• Experience working within Agile and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant Microsoft, software development or cloud platform certifications.

Skills and experience

• Five or more years of professional .NET development experience.
• Strong full stack development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications using Vue.js and .NET.
• Strong experience with modern reactive JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js.
• Experience developing solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of secure application development, Cyber ISM requirements, least privilege principles and OWASP.
• Experience establishing and managing software repositories.
• Hands-on experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Azure DevOps processes and task governance.
• Experience contributing to systems design, software design and complex application development.
