About the Role

Principal Software Engineer

Location: Canberra, ACT

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site at Barton office with flexible options available)

Contract Duration: Until 30 June 2026

Start Date: Monday, 6 October 2025

Extension Options: Up to 2 x 12-month terms

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 2

Hours: Maximum 40 hours per week

Experience Level: Principal / EL2 equivalent

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the technical strategy for supported products.

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Proven experience in software development using .Net and Angular.
• Experience supporting digital solutions across diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and architectural designs.

Desirable:

• Experience or qualifications in agile software development.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications or migrating on-premises solutions to the cloud.
