Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Lead Native Title & Cultural Heritage professional to join the Access & Approvals team in Australia. Based in Melbourne or Brisbane, you will support projects with expertise on Native Title and heritage compliance, working with Traditional Owners and government agencies to build strong First Nations relationships.

The role involves coordinating heritage surveys, leading negotiations, and integrating approvals requirements into project planning.

Qualifications

Extensive Indigenous engagement experience with stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Experience with project approvals and regulatory processes
Travel to project sites locally and remotely as required

Responsibilities

Provide advice on Native Title and First Nations agreements to support project development
Lead negotiations with Traditional Owners and Native Title groups
Coordinate cultural heritage surveys and consultation activities
Ensure early integration of Native Title and heritage requirements into planning
Oversee consultants and advise on schedules and costs
Track and report approvals activities and governance obligations
