Job summary

The Navy’s Anchorage in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Senior Venue Manager to lead hospitality operations across multiple sites. This hands‑on senior leadership role focuses on running strong operations, building capable teams and delivering consistently excellent customer experiences.

You’ll oversee a portfolio of venues, partnering with Venue Managers and operations teams to ensure sites are well‑led, commercially focused, compliant and performing at a high standard.

Qualifications

• Significant hospitality management experience across multiple venues or complex operations.
• Experience leading and developing Venue Managers or other operational leaders.
• Strong knowledge of rostering, labour management, stock control and service delivery.
• Commercial awareness with budgets, costs and operational performance.
• Strong people leadership with coaching and performance management.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach to operational problems.
• Strong understanding of WHS, food safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders and employees.
• Availability to work flexibly to support senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple Adelaide hospitality venues.
• Coach, mentor and support Venue Managers and teams to perform at their best.
• Maintain a strong presence across sites and build trusted relationships with employees, customers and key stakeholders.
• Drive high standards across customer experience, food and beverage service, presentation and operational delivery.
• Monitor venue performance, labour, costs, stock, wastage and other key operational measures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and commercial performance.
• Support workforce planning, rostering and resourcing across venues.
• Work collaboratively with People & Culture on recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee matters.
• Build a positive, accountable and respectful workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, responsible service requirements and company policies.
• Support Venue Managers to resolve operational challenges and address performance issues early.
• Coordinate effectively across venues to ensure appropriate coverage, communication and consistency.
• Lead operational change and support the implementation of new systems, processes and initiatives.
• Respond to significant operational issues and provide leadership when things don’t go to plan.
