Job summary

Monks is seeking an experienced Senior Motion Artist / Editor to join a regional creative team producing rapid-turn editorial and marketing content. In a distributed setup, you will transform footage and assets into polished video deliverables, collaborating with client stakeholders and global teammates.

This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with a possibility of extension or conversion. You will apply brand guidelines and design systems across productions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in motion design, video editing or post-production in an agency, tech, or in-house creative team.
• Expertise in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Proficient with Figma and exporting production-ready assets.
• Strong motion-graphics, animation and storytelling skills.
• Experience using existing footage, graphics, voiceover and music.
• Solid understanding of pacing, timing, typography and audio sync.
• Ability to animate charts and technical information clearly.
• Familiar with brand systems, templates, and reusable motion toolkits.
• Strong file organization, version-control and self-QA.

Responsibilities

• Edit footage into clear, engaging video deliverables.
• Create motion graphics, typography, transitions and supporting visuals.
• Apply brand guidelines and design systems across work.
• Use existing content to make technical/editorial stories dynamic.
• Time edits to voiceover, music and audio elements.
• Collaborate with designers to adapt assets for motion.
• Maintain narrative clarity with writers and producers.
• Interpret briefs, identify gaps, ask focused questions.
• Create reusable motion components for rapid-turn production.
• Organize project files for distributed teams.
• Support clear handoffs across regions or shifts.
• Perform self-QA on quality, timing, audio, brand alignment.
• Incorporate feedback quickly while preserving craft.
• Use AI and creative tech for editing efficiency.
• Maintain discretion with confidential information.
