As pioneers in the AI digital media economy, we live an AI-first culture internally while helping enterprise clients shift from manual workflows to AI-native orchestration — scaling custom agent solutions (Monks.Flow), AI-driven campaigns, and next-gen AI search capabilities. By connecting brand strategy, media, data, and emerging technology around the consumer, we build intelligent platforms and content ecosystems for the world's leading brands. We foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where authentic collaboration fuels industry-changing work.

The Role

Monks is seeking an experienced Senior Motion Artist / Editor to join a regional creative team producing rapid-turn editorial and marketing content. Working in close partnership with client stakeholders and a distributed global team, this role will transform existing footage, design assets and approved content into polished, engaging video and motion deliverables.

The ideal candidate combines strong editing instincts with motion-design expertise. You should be equally comfortable shaping an edit, animating graphics and timing visuals to audio, while working closely with the design team to maintain a cohesive visual system.

An interest in AI, emerging technology and new approaches to creative production is essential.

What You'll Do
  • Edit existing footage and approved content into clear, engaging video deliverables.
  • Create motion graphics, animated typography, transitions and supporting visual elements.
  • Apply established brand guidelines, motion principles and design systems across all work.
  • Use existing content thoughtfully to make technical and editorial stories more dynamic and accessible.
  • Time edits and animation precisely to voiceover, music and other audio elements.
  • Partner with designers to adapt static assets, layouts, charts and graphics for motion.
  • Work with technical writers and producers to maintain narrative clarity and content accuracy.
  • Interpret briefs and feedback independently, identifying gaps and asking focused questions when needed.
  • Create efficient workflows and reusable motion components that support rapid-turn production.
  • Prepare organized project files that can be easily understood and continued by distributed teams.
  • Support clear, documented handoffs when work continues across regions or shifts.
  • Conduct thorough self-QA across visual quality, timing, audio, spelling, brand alignment, specifications and version control.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly while maintaining craft and consistency.
  • Use approved AI and creative technology tools to support editing, animation and production efficiency.
  • Maintain discretion when working with confidential and highly sensitive information.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, video editing or post-production within an agency, technology company or in-house creative organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Working proficiency in Figma, including navigating files, reviewing components and exporting production-ready assets.
  • Strong motion-graphics, animation and editorial storytelling skills.
  • Experience working with existing footage, static design assets, voiceover and music.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, timing, composition, typography and audio synchronization.
  • Ability to animate charts, diagrams and technical information clearly and accurately.
  • Familiarity with established brand systems, templates and reusable motion toolkits.
  • Strong file organization, version-control and self-QA practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage rapid turnarounds and maintain quality when priorities shift.
  • Experience working effectively across regions, time zones and distributed teams.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in AI, emerging technology and production innovation.
