Senior Mobile App Engineer – Native & React Native

Job summary

Softtest Pays Pty is seeking a seasoned mobile app developer to design, build, and release apps for Android and iOS using native tools and React Native. You will collaborate with UI/UX designers to convert designs into working components and implement automated tests with QA support.

You will also integrate with Firebase and CMS back-ends, set up CI/CD pipelines, and participate in early-stage tool evaluations and SDLC activities to ensure a robust, accessible product.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing and releasing mobile apps on Android and iOS with Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective-C, plus React Native.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards for web and mobile.
• DevOps experience creating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab and tooling like Artifactory and Vault.
• Ability to write automated unit, component, integration and functional tests with QA collaboration.
• Experience turning UI designs into mobile components with UI/UX designers.
• Experience integrating back-end APIs and services including Firebase and CMS systems.
• Experience in early mobile app development stages: environment/framework setup and tool evaluation.
• Proficiency in building accessible web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to work across all SDLC stages: design, development, code reviews, and long-term maintenance.
