Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI solutions across multiple cloud platforms in a contract-based role. The candidate will drive experiments from PoC to production, applying NLP, CV, and transformer models within a multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to MLOps, model monitoring and operationalisation, while delivering scalable AI solutions and documentation to support business needs and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer or similar.
• Proven experience delivering AI/ML models and solutions from experimentation/POC through to production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch and Transformer-based models.
• Experience with NLP, LLMs and classical machine learning.
• Experience developing Computer Vision models, including CNNs and/or VLMs.
• Strong understanding of MLOps and DevOps practices, including experiment tracking and tools such as MLflow.
• Experience working with cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Relevant ICT qualifications and/or industry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate and deploy machine learning and AI solutions.
• Take AI/ML initiatives from Proof of Concept through production and operational use.
• Develop and maintain production ML capabilities within a multidisciplinary team.
• Apply NLP, Transformer models, Computer Vision and classical ML techniques to solve business problems.
• Implement and support MLOps practices, including experiment tracking, evaluation, monitoring and operationalisation.
• Deliver AI and automation solutions using AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Contribute to AWS serverless application delivery, with AWS CDK experience highly desirable.
• Prepare PoC reports, technical documentation, evaluation papers and recommendations.
• Support knowledge transfer to internal personnel and contribute to improving organisational AI capability.
